The National Self Build & Renovation Centre is the UK's only permanent venue for independent homebuilding advice & support. Established in 2007, and owned by our employees since 2014, we have helped over a quarter of a million visitors create better, sustainable homes or extend and improve their existing property.
Please note the Centre will be closed on both Sunday 8th & 15th December, and closed from 3pm on Friday 20th for the Christmas break. We will re-open on Thursday 2nd January 2025 🎄

We’re delighted to offer a 3 day course for those contemplating a self build project.
Covering 11 topics in total, this informal workshop makes use of the superb practical exhibits available in the Centre to provide attendees with a level of knowledge which guarantees their projects will go more smoothly.

On the second Friday of every month, many of our exhibitors will be at their displays, to engage with visitors during our informal and relaxed ‘market days’.
Providing the perfect opportunity to progress your project, each date will also feature a free guided tour of our new build educational zone.

On 26th & 27th November, we attended the EOA Annual Conference hosted at the Telford International Centre. Harvey, Amanda, Kirsty & Katy joined 864 EO sector business leaders, employee owners & professional advisors from over 300 companies for this unique event (the UK’s largest employee-ownership gathering), which offered 2 days of learning, inspiration and networking.
In 2024, we celebrated 10 years of being Employee Owned! This is a milestone we're incredibly proud of. Employee Ownership is the cornerstone of our culture and ethos at the NSBRC, so we wanted to take this opportunity to reflect on this achievement, and what it means for us - and for you!

Each year The National Self Build & Renovation Centre produces a survey in partnership with the National Custom & Self Build Association (NaCSBA).
The 2024 survey marks our fourth edition and was completed by 721 people. This data provides a detailed view of those planning to, or currently undertaking substantial homebuilding projects.
